Fretilin calls for Indonesia to show Timorese heroes graves

Fretilin Party MPs said they did appreciate Indonesia's recent way of returning a gun and flag belonged to the Timorese Liberation Army (FALINTIL) to the Government and called for showing Timorese heroes graves.

MP David Diaz Ximenes made the call during a plenary session in the Parliament on Monday (22/8). So far Timor-Leste has respected Indonesia's heroes' cemetery in the country; therefore Indonesian Government should show the grave of the Timorese heroes they abducted during the war.

"It is good, I do appreciate Indonesia, but we want they should also show us where the graves our heroes, such as Nicolao Lobato," he said. This is good for the two countries to strengthen their bilateral ties and it will be a chance for both countries to recall their heroes' skeletons.

MP Adriano Nacimento from the Democratic Party called the Timorese Government to approach the Indonesian Government to show the country's heroes' grave.
