Timorese National Police (PNTL) Commander, Longuinhos Monteiro has denied the recent Mahein Foundation's report findings, stating that most of the vehicles belong to police are centered in Dili.
This is normal criticism and PNTL headquarter is aware of this, people should know that these 95 vehicles are out of order and need to be fixed, he said.
Each sub district police station needs at least six cars to help support them in doing their work he said. Monteiro added that each PNTL requests supporting facilities to the Government, but the Government hasonly fulfilled some and they are still waiting for others.
