Of course every party has that right. However the cost of it 1/2 million dolars in a time of need, where the people barely has food on the table, where everybody criticises everybody, seems a bit too much. Use the radio as a difusor of the national and official languages, you may get a better outcome.

Well, radio Maubere bear no difference to RADIO KHMER in times of Pol-Pot, during the Kampuchea's bloody years.
This is a radio where a single political party monopolizes 100% of the broadcasting news and tells nothing but TERRORIZING its opponents with false and wrong information.
The 100% ownership of the radio, left the "attacked" with no option to defend themselves but become the pray of the vandalism of Fretilin's leadership.

Comparing Radio Maubere to RADIO KHEMER is a bit to far and irrelevant. Because Radio Maubere exists in a democratic country based on multiparty political system. Timor Leste's constitution allows for such political expression by the citizens. Whilst the Radio Khemer existed in a different political system in a culturally different country and society. Hence, to call Radio Maubere's information as to terrorizing their opponent is a bit childish, simplistic and paranoia. Kind of like Soeharto's regime paranoia on communist. I reckon you are one of those conservative Soeharto animated follower. If you are opponents of those in Radio Maubere just because you have psychotic about it then it means you have no gut and no faith whatsoever on your political party. That either means you have to grow up or you need to stop being a paranoid (which is a psychological perturbation or illness) and have more self confidence on your political principles. No need to worry about Radio Maubere because that is what democracy is all about, to express your views regarding any issues related to variety of subjects through whatever medium you can afford. And in my view Radio Maubere's existence is just another form of citizen's participation in politic to heat up the democratic atmosphere before 2012 parliamentary election.

its irrelavante comparing Radio Maubere do Radio KHMER, because the law allows anyone or any institution to be able to own their station. Weather its a 100% or 99% it makes no diference,the law is clear.
