Inspector General for the Timorese National Police (PNTL) Julio Hornai, said the findings of their inspection has showed that many PNTL officers in OeCusse District violated the law, as they did not carry out their work based on the law.
Hornai affirmed there are many police members driving car and riding motorbike without having the driving license and other proper documents for driving have been expired.
"If we the police do not have driver license then, how we can regulate people? We have to abide by the law before we regulate other people," Hornai said.
Oe-cusse District Police Commander, Mateus Acencao Mendes, said the inspection is very helpful for them to make a self-improvement and better improve PNTL in Oe-Cuse District.
