Heavy Oil power center will start to supply power on November 27th

The State Secretary for Electricity, Clean Water and Urbanization (SEAU), Januario Pereira, confirmed that the Heavy Oil power production center in Hera in the eastern part of Dili, will start to supply power for people on November 27th this year.

"Based on the plan that on November 27th this year, the Heavy oil power production center in Hera will begin to supply power in Dili, Manatuto and if there is no obstacle then it will possible to supply power in Baucau and Lospalos Districts," Pereira said.

Pereira added that there are four generators which will be used in the heavy oil power center and they will be brought to the country at the end of July.

He added that the capacity of the four generators is totally 60 megawatt.

Caro Januário Pereira,

Esperemos q a Lucrécia esteja cá para ver. Porque não repara a central de Gariuai em Baucau?? Oferecida pelos Noruegueses, funciona a água e não precisa de óleo pesado. Não é bonito receber presentes e depois não cuidar. Tem capacidade para abastecer metade do distrito de Baucau e está abandonada. É triste.
