Program Manager of NGO Uma Mahon, Suzana Ximenes, said 80% of the Timorese children were sexually assaulted and 20% of them faced physical violence.
Ximenes said they used to accommodate 80 children and 40 of them had returned to their parents, but 40 others still with them because they are waiting for legal proceedings for their case.
"80 percent from the total 40 children who we are accommodating got sexual violence and 20 percent others got physical abuse," Ximenes said.
