Deputy Commander for the Timorese Police, Commissioner Police Afonso de Jesus, said he is allergic with the criticism from the people and the state leaders and therefore he said it is better to let the Timorese National Police (PNTL) to carry out their work based on the law and order.
De Jesus said they are incapable of controlling the whole border, because they are lacking of human resources. We know that border area is largest, but unfortunately we are lacking of human resources to add security posts in the border area, de Jesus said.
He added that the Border Police Unit (BPU) has made efforts to control the border, but they are facing difficulties to control the border due to lacking of human resource.
