MP Teresa de Carvalho from Democratic Party (PD) said that the leader of the Fretilin party should educate their party’s followers to be disciplined.

Carvalho affirmed that a Fretilin member has split, and accused her of stealing; therefore she called on Fretilin leaders to properly educate their followers to respect others.

“The Chief of the Fretilin Bench, Aniceto Guterres, has apologized for the attitude of the party’s members and I am calling for the party’s leader to keep educating their members when running their consolidation in the villages,” MP Carvalho said.

Carvalho added that she will not take this case to the courts, but she called on the party’s leader to pay attention to their members when running the party’s activity.

Carvalho added that they called me as a thief, but she says she has not stolen anything in the country, adding that the Fretilin leaders should educate their members because it will dirty the party’s name in the country.

“I feel unhappy when seeing Fretilin members accused me of stealing, and I think to develop the country, all citizens have the right to talk and express their rights, but not in this way,” she said. Carvalho stressed that she also has a political party and has party followers, but they do not insult other people in the country.

In response, MP Inacio Moreira said to know the truth of the case, it should be taken to the courts.

“If MP Teresa de Carvalho feels that it is an act of crime, she should take the case to the court to uncover the truth,” said MP Moreira. Moreira also questioned MP Carvalho about using state facilities during her holiday, and said perhaps this is the basis of Fretilin followers accusing her of being a thief. Josme .
