Govt to build housing for vulnerable in remote areas: Gusmao

Dili,timornewsline,- Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao said his Government will execute the state budget to build housing for vulnerable people in the rural areas throughout the country.

The prime minister the comments during a meeting with all the village chiefs at the Dili Convention Center (DCC), adding that this year is a year for development, especially in the rural areas.

“I am calling for all heads of villages to better serve our people, so that all people can get involved in the development of the country, although it is happening slowly, but when we work hard, our dream can become true one day,” said Gusmao.

PM Gusmao stressed that the Government will build five houses in each sub village; therefore he called on the chiefs of villages to help identify the vulnerable in their villages.

“We should work hard to develop our country, and I am calling for the people to keep peace in the country, otherwise other people could occupy the country using the country like a company,” said Gusmao. Josmel
