President Jose Ramos Horta, is concerned about condition of children in the country, because many of the schools in the country have no proper sanitation and toilets.

President Horta made the statements during a ceremony of handing over a report on adolescents written by UNICEF.

President Horta said the report of UNICEF is positive as it will be a reference for the Government to improve children’s nutrition and sanitation in all the public schools. “What do they eat? This will affect their study.

What should be done by the state is to reduce poverty, better develop this country, improve school condition, sanitation, quality of the teachers, because if a teacher teaches creatively with animation then it will make students have the spirit to go to school.

It is clear from the report and probably I will not read the whole report but it might be a reference for the Government and State to develop this country.

It is impossible for the Government to improve all things at once,” President Horta said.

The report of UNICEF shows that many adolescents whose ages range from 10 to 19 are suffering from malnutrition, and some of them could not continue their studies and some are unemployed.
