Jose Ramos Horta has called on the country's politicians not to interfere with the work of the Timorese judicial institutions.

"We should avoid those who do not work for judicial institutions. Political power should not interfere in the judicial institutions' work," Horta said.

Horta affirmed that it will be difficult for all judicial processes when the politicians put their hands into their work.

The justice system requires an independent environment to make a proper verdict. "Politicians should not intervene in the process of justice, as judges' work is very important to consider and make a decision," Horta said.*Guterres
