Horta will consult Gusmao and Catholic Church to run for elections

President Jose Ramos Horta said he will make a consultation with Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao and the Catholic Church before running for the presidential elections that will be held in 2012.

Horta stressed that he will consult the Prime Minister and the Catholic Church about his nomination and will publicly announce it.

“I have not yet made a decision, but I will make a reflection to nominate myself or not.

But in my mind I will not, but sometimes it will not become true,” Horta said.
