Government led by Prime Minister Gusmao spends money recklessly

MP Arao Noe de Jesus, from the National Congress for the Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT), said the Government spends a lot of money to develop the country, but unfortunately there are no appropriate plans set up, therefore there are no good results gained.

"Repairing roads in the capital of Dili seems like a project without a plan as it only spends money. This is because the Government has no proper plan to do something good for the people," MP de Jesus said.

He added that the Government has spent a lot of money to repair bridges and roads, but the bridges and road conditions remain bad.

"If we want to repair roads then we should guarantee the quality, because there are roads that have been repaired, but the quality of the roads is not guaranteed," MP de Jesus said.

MP Mateus de Jesus, said the Government has no good plan to repair the roads and that was why there was no good results gained from the road reparations. The State Secretary for Public Works, Domingos Caeiro, said there is no special budget allocated for repairing roads in the suburbs of Dili.
