Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Ameerah Haq. said the Government which is led by Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao, has a policy of creating a portal of transparency to guarantee the country to fight and reduce poverty.
Haq made the comments when participating in the international meeting about the establishment of an audit court in the country.
Haq affirmed that she is pleased with the portal of transparency which was created by the Government, because it will give the public a chance to directly access data on the expenditures of the state.
She added that this creation of the portal shows the leader's commitment to promote transparency and accountability to their people.
