President Jose Ramos Horta, said Merpati Airlines in Timor-Leste has not provided their support to any activities in Timor-Leste.
President Horta, through his office, has released a dispatch to ban the staff of the President’s Office from traveling with Merpati, who instead must now use Batavia Air.
“I have release a dispatch calling for all the staff not to use Merpati if their travel is financed by the State, and they have to travel by using Batavia Air,” President Horta said.
President Horta added, “Merpati has never provided any money to support social, cultural and humanitarian activities in the country.”
