Francisco Miranda Branco from Fretilin, said it is impossible for the Government to show much progress in developing this country with the general state budget set at US $ 1.3 billion as it is already close to election time.
"The Government can spend a lot of money this year, but I just want to say frankly that there will be no positive results from the money they will spend, because the results of the past show that they have been incapable in the last three years and now, in their fourth year in power they have no more time.
The situation within the Government's institution is messy, therefore how can they bring positive development for the people," Branco said.
MP Duarte Nunes from the National Congress for the Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT), said that the Government will spend all the money to develop this country and it should not be spent to buy the votes of the people.
