On the day of my post on this issue, I contacted a number of people in the Ermera district, the former health minister Rui Araujo and the Cuban embassy. I also contacted a medical internee and she denied anything of the nature reported had occurred. They all confirmed that there had been no incidents as reported.
There had been a heated moment weeks ago at the hospital when relatives of a person brought into the mergency room for a car accident were denied entry into the emergency area where medical intervention was being administered because they were too many and likely to be in the way.
I immediately made a statement in the parliament clarifying my findings and requested that the media seek full confirmation prior to publishing anything said by the MP in order that no unneccesasary alarm be aroused in the community. Thankfully the media obliged.
I made similar posts on me facebook post putting the true situation forward.
Yesterday a PD MP from Ermera made statement condemning the stataments too saying that she had inquired extensively and that the statements were unfounded. In fact the Ermera youth she represented felt slighted and defamed.
The CNRT MP, Natalino dos Santos nonetheless defended his actions saying he had heard from a former MP and therefor raised. He seemed not to be concerned about the potential alarm he could have caused.
It is clear that apart from a very small but nonetheless unpleasent campaign from senior officers and other staff in some places based purely on some professional or other jealosy and envy, or even politically motivated, the students' main concern is the lack of concern they are getting from the Ministry of Health in terms of their work and living conditions in the ditricts they are posted currently.
In the main the community and other staff have in general been very wlecoming and supportive, as I thought, thus prompting my question in my first post "what the hell!!!???"
I think we should remain vigilant at this type of misinformation which I have not titally ruled out the suspicion to be based on an attempt to in fact arouse controversy surrounding this program as was done with unfortunate and wide impact in 2006 and 2007.
Total vigilance everyone.

Kalo bson mau komentar ka, baku puki ka, baku debat jangan bawa-bawa nama milisi. Kami di NTT tidak berurusan dengan bason pun masalah.
Kadang - kadang beta cuma kasih penilaian sadiki sa lewat blog ini, tetapi beta sonde bermaksud ikut campur bason pun urusan, silakan urus kau punya partai supaya bisa manang di pemilu 2012. Beta pun perkiraan ya...AMP pasti manan mutlak sebab semua org tim-tim baik yg di Timor Leste maupun di Indonesia suka dgn program pembangunan yg telah di jalankan oleh Bpk. Xanana dan pemerintah AMP.
Kalo oposisi (F Radikal) belum mampu pegang pemerintah karena kemampuan sangat kurang, apalagi sumberdaya manusianya kurang sekali alias tdk punya kemampuan intelektual untuk memerintah. Jadi lebih baik pilih AMP upaya pembangunan tetap berjalan dgn baik.
