Minister Lucia Lobato said that access to justice for the people was an effective way of preventing people to engage in acts of corruption.

Minister Lobato made the statements yesterday in a workshop about the strategic plan of the Anti-Corruption Commission held at Saint Paul hall.

Lobato added that the Government has set up courts in four districts such as in Baucau, Dili, Suai and Oe-Cuse, adding that the court will facilitate people in the districts to report any cases including corruption by local leaders.

Lobato also said that it was important to set up more courts in other districts in the future, in order to facilitate peoples access to justice.
