President Jose Ramos Horta has urgently contacted Minister for Education, Joao Cancio Freitas regarding the National University (UNTL) students' peace rally, asking the minister to reverse his decision on accepting only secondary school students who graduated in 2010.
Speaking to journalists, Minister Freitas said he made the decision to improve quality of the country's national university.
Freitas said he had informed that president that there would be a special opportunity to the students who graduated in 2009 and other few years past.
Freitas added there will be registration for the students who completed their study in 2009 and few years past for test next week.
