President Jose Ramos Horta has called on the residents who used to stay in the ex-Indonesian Brimob barracks and were forced out by the Government to collaborate with the government to find solutions to resolve the problem.
President Horta said the Government expelled them from that place because the Government will use that place to build houses for the Timorese National Police (PNTL) officers.
"I am calling on the residents to understand and collaborate with the state to better design this city," President Horta said.
President Horta added that he was confident the Government could resolve this problem as it is the competence of the Government to do so.
