MPs from the Fretilin Party have alleged the Parliamentary Majority Alliance (AMP) Government of increasing amount of the general state budget to US $ 985 million to buy people's votes.
In response, MP Arao Noe from the National Congress for the Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT) said such a great amount would be spent for the country's development.
MP Elijario Pereira said he did not believe that such a great amount would be spent for the development, as in the past few years it had not gone well.
Pereira added that they would make efforts to share ideas about the state budget in the upcoming state budget debate for 2011, although they know that the budget proposal will pass.
