MP Aniceto Guterres from the Fretilin Party has thanked bishop for Baucau Diocese, Monsignor Basilio do Nascimento for his concerns over the huge amount of general state budget totally US$ 985 million.

MP Guterres agreed with Monsignor Nascimento’s recent statements saying that the Government had allocated much money in 2010, but there were not positive results gained, as people in the rural areas were not benefited yet.

“We have said that the Parliamentary Majority Alliance (AMP) is incapable;therefore I think Bishop Nascimento’s concerns is good as it is part of conveying what is thought by the people.

Fretilin has spoken many times, but people reject it,” MP Guterres said. MP Manuel Tilman from KOTA agreed with Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao to propose US$ 985 million for 2011 general state budget as it was aimed at professionalizing Timorese people in human development.

MP Adriano do Nascimento from the Democratic Party (PD) also agreed with the Government’s plan for prioritizing education in the country.
