MP Francisco Miranda Branco from Fretilin said the general state budget for 2011 with the total amount US$ 985 would be used for buying the people's vote in general elections of 2012.

"The Government is capable of executing such a great amount of budget based on the procedures.

It seems that this large size of money will be used to buy vote of the people in the election of 2012," Branco said.

Parliamentary President Fernando "Lasama" de Araujo said it was important to better develop this fledging country; therefore he called on the politicians not to make a lot cheaper politics.

"I think we should not talk much about politics because people need a good development. We do not have to think about politics only. It is better to talk about repairing roads, schools and so forth," Lasama said.
