Australian company Woodside has denied reports it is willing to reconsider onshore processing of gas from the Greater Sunrise field in East Timor.
In Dili this week, East Timorese and Australian Government officials have been in talks with Woodside about the development of Greater Sunrise.
East Timor's Sunrise commissioner, Fransisco da Costa Monteiro, says Woodside has changed its position on how to develop the field.
"Yes, definitely, that's what our understanding of the situation is," he said.
Mr da Costa Monteiro says Woodside has provided reports on three development options, including piping the gas to East Timor or Darwin for onshore processing.
He says that shows the company is reconsidering the onshore options.
But Woodside says its preferred option is still a platform floating above the field.
A spokeswoman says the company provided reports on the different options in order to explain its decision.

You don't change your mind, then you won't get it; easy as that!!
the main issue here is that we are tied with a contract that was signed by both government as co-owner of the field of Greater Sun Rise as it lies outside the JPDA. Moreover, we have not settled yet maritime boundary. But that does not mean that the consortium who is responsible under the contract does anything which have less benefits for the the owner of the field.
If won't change their mind, let the contract get expire on 2012 and then fuck them out of the contract. this stupid company is politically oriented by his government to do so, that how Australians play dirty games.
Woodside you r not the only player in the negotiation!
That's a new form colonisation of third world country by big and power capitalist nation's strategy. Just wait until 2013 and say GOOD BYE to Woodside.
