President Jose Ramos Horta said he appreciated the ongoing consultation of the Government’s national development plan (PEDN) held throughout the country by Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao.
President Horta said the PEDN was autonomy of management given to be executed in the districts; therefore the local authority had to work professionally in the implementation of the project.
“I think this important, because the Government is giving autonomy of management for project implementation in the districts, but they should show their integrity and professionalism in implementing the projects,” Horta said.
Horta added that he agreed with this program as it was better than the referendum package program and hoped it could be handed over directly to the communities to implement it.
