GOVT TO CLOSE DOWN MARTIAL ART CLUBS

President of Martial Art Commission Law, Firmino Diaz Quintas said the Government would close down Timorese martial art clubs if they did not abide by the existing martial art law in the country.

Quintas explained that the martial art law articled 11 stated that any martial art club that did not abide by the law would be sanctioned by suing fine US $ 2000, but then if they continuing breaching it, decision on closing down to the martial art clubs would be taken.

Quintas added that the martial art clubs in the country were yet to abide by the law, as they had not registered themselves yet in the competent institution.

Luis Bernando member of a martial art club said he would aide by the law and would accept sanction given by the Government if the breached it.
