The Timorese first President Francisco Xavier do Amaral has called on the Timorese people to clean up UNTAS [a pro-Indonesia organization], as it is against the country’s principle of independence.
“All Timorese should unite and swear to the God and souls to clean up UNTAS and should not forgive them,” Xavier said.
Xavier said the Timorese people had suffered a lot during the Indonesian military occupation; therefore such organization could not be allowed to exit.
