Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Zacarias da Costa said the Ministry of Foreign affairs and Cooperation continued doing negotiation with the ASEAN members on the country’s inclusion of becoming member of the ASEAN in 2012.
Da Costa stressed that meeting in Vietnam was an important step to strengthen the country’s policy in relation to the ASEAN Secretariat’s work in Timor-Leste.
Da Costa stressed that the meeting of the ASEAN diplomatic level was a good solution to resolve problems found in the region.
He added that Timor-Leste would also take part in a trilateral conference with Australia and Indonesia in Australia.
