SOME MINISTERS AND STATE SECRETARIES BELIEVED TO ENGAGE IN CORRUPTION

The Timorese Inspector General Francisco de Carvalho confirmed that they had sent ten corruption cases to the Prosecutor General and the Anticorruption commission to process them legally.

Carvalho said there were indications that some Government’s officers and Ministers including State Secretaries were believed to have been engaged in corruption. “We have sent more than ten cases to the Public Prosecution and KAK.

We hear that they will process it, but the Prosecutor General is yet to take the case to the court,” de Carvalho said.

De Carvalho added that he could not tell the public who had involved in this criminal act, but he said there were some irregularities of administration appear within some ministries.
