Eight hectares of the wet rice field belonged to eight families in Hatu-Seo sub-village of Hato-Udo sub-district, Ainaro were destroyed by heavy downfall recently.
Disaster Management Department chief, Vidal Eurico said that his side had reported the disaster, adding that they would hold survey to the scene as soon as possible to take a look closer at the real situation in the area.
“We are yet to send humanitarian aid to the victims this is because it is raining in the area and roads are not passable,” Eurico said.
