The Agriculture and Fisheries Minister, Mariano “Asanami” Sabino said vision of the border was to create peace, stability and harmony and should not use force to frighten the local residents.
Asanami also called on the Timorese Defense Force (F-FDTL), National Police and the Indonesia’s TNI soldiers to cooperate with each other and should not use force in the border.
“Harmony should exist in the border and gun fire should be avoided otherwise it will frighten the local residents, adding they are the institution which are deploying in the border to ensure security,” Sabino said.
Asanami made the comments yesterday in Delta Nova regarding the recent infiltration of the Indonesia’s TNI soldiers that had illegally entered the country’s area.
