La’o Hamutuk
Although neither the Ministry of Finance has not provided electronic or English versions of the mid-year budget rectification to La'o Hamutuk or to Parliament, La'o Hamutuk has scanned the Prime Minister's Explanatory Note for the budget, his explanation of why the Government would like to withdraw $309 million more than the Estimated Sustainable Income, and the Finance Ministry's evaluation if the impact of overspending on future Estimated Sustainable Income. We have also, with the help of computerized translation, tried to translate them into English.
Parliament has already begun hearings on this budget adjustment and intends to act on it within a month.
