The State Secretary for Electricity, Clean Water and Sanitation, Januario Pereira, has proposed the Government to provide more money US$ 70 million to finance heavy oil power production project.
“Our proposal has been sent to the Council of Ministers, but the amount of money will be remain or reduced and it will be decided in the final discussion,” said Pereira.
He said that the Government had allocated money US$367 million for financing heavy oil power production project including power gird, purchasing generators and others.
He added that the Government was making efforts to install power grid throughout the territory, so that people in the rural areas can get access power in 2011.
