Residents support Govt to amend Petroleum Law

Local residents of Vatucarbau Sub-district of Viqueque district including resident of Baucau and Lautem districts had express their support to the Government to implement the Government’s National Strategic Plans in the country.

They also called on the Timorese Parliamentary to amend Law for Petroleum fund so that the Government can withdraw money more than 3% from Petroleum fund to develop this country and improve life condition of the people.

Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão said that the time has come to better improve people’s life condition, so that they can live prosperously in the future.

PM Gusmão also said that the state and Government should not more valorizing money rather the people.

“You all have been suffered; you lost your family members such as mother and father. You are eligible to treat well and the state should do this as this state is built up by blood and skeletons,” PM Gusmão said.

PM Gusmão also said that he disagreed with some state leaders’ statement saying that it was better to save the money.
