President Horta: “It is important for Govt to hold negotiation with opposition”

President Jose Ramos Horta has said that it was important for the Parliamentary Majority Alliance (AMP) Government to hold negotiation with the opposition parties in order to seek for better solution to the problems faced by the country so far.

“We all should give contribution and should have one idea about some vital cases for our future. Therefore I am calling for the Government to have regular dialog and should involve oppositions in the dialog in order to get some good inputs and to find solution to challenges faced in the aspects of Defense, Security, Justice and national development process,” President Horta said.

President Horta made the call yesterday in his speech marking in the ceremony of the Timorese Restoration Day held in the Presidential Palace of Nicolau Lobato in Aitarak Laran, Dili.

He also thanked the international communities who have provided their contribution to the development process of the country.
