A press release from the office of the Vice Prime Minister for Management and Public Administration has stated that the Government Ministers have not supported the work of Eng. Mário Viegas Carrascalão to improve the Government’s administration.
The press said that Deputy PM Carrascalão had make efforts to reform the Government administration and to promote a good administration management within the Government institutions, but it was in vain due to the Ministers had not contribute to his initiatives.
“Of course this is not a desirable situation for all of us,” said the press release.
The press added that Deputy PM Carrascalão was assigned by the Council of Ministers to coordinate with the international commission for rural development and infrastructure commission to better develop the country but government ministers had supported him.
Carrascalão is a whistleblower in the coalition government as he repeatedly comments that there are widespread corruption practices within the government institutions.
His calls have been toothless because Prime Minister Gusmão has said that there is no corruption and that the ministers are competent in carrying out their functions.
